smiddy True it would not be tolerated. Allah is a very jealous god, even more jealous than Jehovah the Hebrew desert god of the Israelites.
In the west we sometimes take our freedom to believe or not believe for granted.

Philosophy: The Theory of Everything:
by frankiespeakin inhttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/theory_of_everything_(philosophy).
in philosophy, a theory of everything or toe is an ultimate, all-encompassing explanation of nature or reality.
[1][2][3]adopting the term from physics, where the search for a theory of everything is ongoing, philosophers have discussed the viability of the concept and analyzed its properties and implications.

Threads like this often get overlooked, which is a shame.
Remember the poster Littletoe? Maybe he was onto something. Smart enough to move on.

PSacramento You really are too good for this place - I would add that I enjoy life and when one enjoys life they don't want it to end - but it has to.
Death is not to be feared, it's just a disappointing end to a life well lived.

“Fear of death has never been a reason for my faith.
Peace”
tammy
tec/Tammy - Having read hundreds of your posts, I would like to make a friendly observation. The reason for your faith seems to be a noble desire to justify seeing life as a positive and worthwhile endeavour that will work out perfectly and all come right in the end. I admire your optimism. I tend to see life as a fragile and unpredictable journey that rests on a wing and a prayer.
That’s one hell of a leap for an atheist.

let's play Dear God
by Tater-T indear god, if you are a god as your followers claim you to be, why do you have to operate in the constraints of spacetime?
dear god, why did you have to sacrifice yourself to yourself to save your creation that you made with flaws?.
dear god, why do you not do anything about your old men in robes raping little boys?

Freedom is knowing that a god is not responsible for any of these things. We are to some degree, limited by circumstance, responsible for ourselves. Why rail against a god that you do not believe exists?
We ask the questions we find the solutions. We take the blame, we take the credit, then we die - Job well done.
We don’t have a choice, that’s just the way it is.

THE GLADIATOR
Bonjour Monsieur,
Fear of death is a powerful motivation for all conscious creatures. Accepting my own mortality was the hardest adjustment to be made when I left Jehovah's Witnesses. I have debated with many Christians and they inform me that their belief in God has nothing to do with self preservation or the reward of an after life. I accept that they sincerely believe this. At the same time I tend to think that their own motives are hidden in the deeper recesses of their mind. I would like to share their faith but alas, I am unable to.
Muslims seem to be fully aware of what motivates them. The men live, and it seems die, so they can be with Allah and have a dozen virgins each in heaven where they will only have to live with fellow Muslims. Sounds good to me, except Allah don’t talk to pagan gladiators. .

When I was a tender young man of just 15 and yet to learn about the delights of women, an announcement was made to a packed hall, after the Watchtower Society study. The presiding elder made the following announcement about a brother of a round 20 who had defied the borg and gone to college.
“I have a grave announcement to make. Bother La*** has been disfellowshipped for committing fornication………….on more than one occasion…………..with different women. He is unrepentant.”
